EXES & Ohs
OctoberQ Cinema is happy to join forces once again with the Logo television network to help promote awareness for their new TV series Exes & Ohs. In the search for Ms. Right, a lot can go wrong.
Jennifer Barker (Michelle Paradise) is looking for Ms. Right but it's not going so well. Fortunately, she's surrounded by her "helpful" surrogate family (including Marnie Alton, Angela Featherstone, Megan Cavanagh and the always wonderful Heather Matarazzo), a group of friends who are always there for her to offer advice . . . no matter what kind of lesbian drama may arise. Together, this tight-knit group helps each other survive singlehood, couplehood . . . and one another.
This funny, dramatic, new Logo series is based on the popular short film (and Q Cinema favorite) The Ten Rules by Lee Friedlander (Girl Play). Go to www.logoonline.com to see a preview and behind-the-scenes footage of the cast.
We'll also get you in the mood for Halloween with a selection of our favorite scary shorts (to be announced soon) and to help kick off our new membership drive, we'll be offering all new members a chance to star in one of our "Gay Movie Moment" trailers running before our monthly films and throughout our 10th annual film festival in 2008 (as well as on MySpace and YouTube).
The total program is about 90 minutes long and takes place at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Four Day Weekend Theater, 312 Houston St. in downtown Fort Worth, next door to the Reata restaurant. Tickets are $5 and are available online at www.qcinema.org (beginning next week) or at the venue beginning an hour before showtime. The program is not rated, but is an R equivalent for adult subject matter, sexual situations, strong language and violence. Q members will receive priority seating. Q Members holders will receive priority seating. For more info, visit us at www.myspace.com/qcinema.
