Writer/director Del Shores' West Texas, semi-autobiographical coming-out comedy gets the big-screen treatment after a successful stage run. Leslie Jordan stars as Brother Boy, a Tammy Wynette-loving drag queen who has spent a good portion of his life locked in a mental institution for his proclivity for dressing as a woman and his willingness to admit his ... (Gasp!) "homosexualism." It's also the story of a clan brought together by the tragic (but somewhat amusing) death of family matriarch and the inevitable parade of dysfunction it inspires. The film also stars Olivia Newton-John, Delta Burke and Beau Bridges. Shores, Jordan and former One Life to Live star Kirk Geiger, who also appears in the film, will attend the screening and answer questions after the show. (111 min.)
