This ambitious oddity from this year's Fort Worth Gay & Lesbian Film Festival centers on Stephen (Tom Wlaschiha), a German medical student arriving in San Francisco to prove his theory that the AIDS virus was deliberately introduced. While following up on leads left by his late researcher father, Stephen discovers that each contact is mysteriously falling victim to a serial killer stalking the gay community. Even more mysterious is the possibility that the murderer might be Stephen's new male love interest. Though this thriller is a bit convoluted at times, the performances are good and it deserves credit for mining an interesting story from a rather controversial fringe theory on the origins of AIDS. R (adult subject matter, strong language, nudity, violence).
