WORLD PREMIERE

Truths & Transformations
8 p.m. Saturday, June 2, Rose Marine Theater
Directors: Caren Block and Paula Dowd
U.S.A., 2006, 65 min.
Shot largely on location in Fort Worth, this thought-provoking documentary provokes the LGBT community to challenge their positions on cultural assimilation. A lightning rod for self-examination and dialogue, the film offers a glimpse into the lives of people whose truths have transformed their personal, social, familial and sexual identities. The film centers around the marriage of Q Cinema board members Denise Bennett and Kathryn Omarkhail and features interviews with several other familiar Cowtown faces including a very moving and painful rememberance from John Ballard as well talks with Bill Bostelmann and Gary Leatherwood.

Block and Dowd will be in attendance along with many of the local cast members.
