Farm Family
4 p.m. Sunday, June 20, Fort Worth Public Library,

Raised on a dairy farm in the Midwest, writer/director/producer Tom Murray reflects on his own roots while exploring the lives of gay men living in rural/farm environments throughout Wisconsin, Wyoming, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New Mexico. Compiled from 32 interviews with men who have chosen to live outside the more familiar gay urban centers, "Farm Family" visits with fathers raising adopted children, dairy farmers, radical fairies and hermits, even chatting with some cowboys on the gay rodeo circuit. These seldom-heard stories of gay rural America are poignant, funny, frightening and inspiring, giving us poignant portrayals of members of an almost an invisible part of gay culture. 73 min.
