"The Glitter Awards"
7 p.m. Caravan of Dreams, 312 Houston St. in downtown
Fort Worth
Who loves awards shows more than gay people?
Oscars, Emmys, Tonys -- queens don't need an excuse to congregate and criticize
celebrity outfits, so it was only a matter of time before gays got their
own awards show ... besides the Tonys. In March of this year, Hollywood
played host to the first awards show specifically geared toward gay and
lesbian films. Join us for the world premiere of the taped presentation
of the 2002 Glitter Awards featuring host ANT (Circuit; Twin Falls, Idaho;
Unhappily Ever After) and presenters such as Alexis Arquette (Grief,
I Think I Do), Brad Rowe (Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss), Lupe
Ontiveros (Chuck & Buck, Selena) and Randall Kleiser (director
of Grease, It's My Party). 73 min., 2002, USA, video, color.
