Naming Prairie

Sunday, June 23
Girls Shorts 2
4 p.m. The Ridglea Theater, 6025 Camp Bowie Blvd.

A young housewife and mother struggles with the realization that she is leading the wrong life in The Green Hour. In Naming Prairie, a lesbian couple's baby-naming ceremony shows how even our oldest traditions can be modified to reflect the new faces of Judaism. Shades of Gray focuses on the lives of gays and lesbians in Lawrence, Kan.. when the local city council is approached to add the word's "sexual orientation" to its anti-discrimination policy. In Shaving, a 10-year-old girl prepares for a big date the same way daddy does.
